House Fire in The Langwood Area

WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: January 16, 2024, at 12:10 p.m.
WHERE: 6600 block of Feldspar St. 77092.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $115,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $160,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes to find light smoke coming from a 1-story house. They pulled sheetrock to access the source of the fire in the attic. They extinguished the fire and determined that it began with wiring sparking in the attic space. 26 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 5, 50, 2, 4, 38 and 49.
