CAUSE: Unintentional (cigarette).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find light smoke coming from the corner of a second-floor apartment balcony. An individual had accidentally dropped a cigarette butt, catching the trim and wall on fire. The resident attempted to put it out with a fire extinguisher prior to HFDs arrival. Firefighters exposed the walls and fully extinguished the fire. A fan was used to ventilate the smoke from the units. Crews completed salvage and overhaul and informed the property manager. 32 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 26, 52, 61 and 70.
