Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6237 Bellaire Boulevard

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile female and wounding of two men at 6237 Bellaire Boulevard about 9:05 p.m. on Friday (Dec. 13).
The identity of the female, 15, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  Two males, one of them 29 and the other believed to be 21, were transported to area hospitals.  The younger male is in critical condition and the other male is expected to recover.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Arrington and Detectives D. Stark reported:
Officers responded to a shooting call at a strip center parking lot at the above address and learned that individuals in two vehicles got into an altercation.  The groups exchanged gunfire.  Three of the individuals, a juvenile female and two men, were shot.  Paramedics transported the wounded persons to hospitals, where the female was pronounced deceased.
It is unknown at this time if the two groups involved in the altercation knew each other.  The investigation is ongoing to determine the identities of the individuals who fired weapons.
