Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 4200 East Crosstimbers Street about 1:15 a.m. on Sunday (February 23).
The identity of two deceased males, both 22, are pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Richards and Officer R. Guzman reported:
The female driver of a white Ford EC1 van was traveling eastbound on Crosstimbers at the above address when she struck a black Chevrolet Tahoe positioned horizontally across the eastbound lanes. The Chevrolet Tahoe then spun on the roadway and the Ford came to a rest in a grassy ditch.
Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced both the driver and passenger inside the Tahoe deceased at the scene. The driver of the Ford was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
At this time, it is unknown if the Chevrolet was attempting a U-turn or if the driver had lost control of the vehicle when it was struck. The driver of the Ford did not show signs of intoxication and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
