Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a male at 7300 Hershe Street about 8:50 p.m. on February 28.
The male suspect, 15, has been referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on a murder charge.  Names and booking photos of juvenile suspects are not releasable.
The victim is identified as Christopher Garcia, 15.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Ponder and Detective J. Meister reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found an unresponsive male with multiple gunshot wounds.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male, later identified as Mr. Garcia, deceased.
A preliminary investigation and witness statements determined a black four-door sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Impala, drove by the location and shots were fired from inside the vehicle at the victim standing outside a vehicle parked on the street.  The sedan then fled westbound on Hershe Street.
The suspects are described only as three to four Hispanic males in their late teens.
Further investigation identified the 15-year-old male as a suspect in this case.  On Monday (March 24), the 15-year-old was arrested without incident and subsequently charged.  Two other suspects, 17 and 16, remain at-large.
Anyone with information on the identities of the two wanted suspects or in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or speak anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
