Investigation into Fatal Crash at 13900 Cullen Boulevard

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 13900 Cullen Boulevard about 1:35 p.m. on Tuesday (May 20).
The identity of the deceased male, 69, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant V. Vo and Officer R. Ramos reported:
The driver of a white International concrete mixer was traveling eastbound on Schurmier Road when he approached the intersection at Cullen Boulevard and disregarded a stop sign. The concrete mixer then struck a white Toyota Corolla traveling northbound on Cullen.
The driver of the Corolla was pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics. The front passenger of the Corolla was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
The driver of the concrete mixer was questioned, was found to be not intoxicated, and released. The investigation continues.
