UPDATE: Surveillance Video Released in Fatal Shooting at 8100 West Airport Boulevard

Houston police have released surveillance video of a male person of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 8100 West Airport Boulevard about 10:10 p.m. on December 7, 2024.
The person of interest is described as a black male wearing a green hoodie, black pants and Adidas sandals. Surveillance video of the male is attached to this news release as well as a still shot of the actual shooter wearing a dark hoodie and bandana over his face.
The victim is identified as Joshua Profit, 35. A photo of the victim is also attached to this news release.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Lopez and Detective G. Zavala reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds lying in the parking lot. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased.
According to witnesses, several gunshots were heard and an unknown suspect was seen running through the complex after the shooting.
The suspect is described only as a male about five feet seven inches tall to five feet ten inches tall with a thin build and wearing all black.
