Investigation into Fatal Crash at 850 Eastex Freeway

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 850 Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59) about 3:05 a.m. today (June 10).
The identity of the deceased male, 19, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer N. Solomon reported:
A tan Cadillac CT4 was traveling northbound on the Eastex freeway when the vehicle entered the I-10 exit ramp and struck the concrete divider. The Cadillac then went into oncoming traffic and struck a white Volvo 18-wheeler. The driver of the Cadillac was ejected. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
An adult female passenger, 19, and juvenile female passenger, 4, in the Cadillac were transported to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in stable condition. No other vehicles or persons were involved.
The investigation is ongoing.
