Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4603 Sherwood Lane

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male that occurred at 4603 Sherwood Lane about 10:50 p.m. on Saturday (July 5).
The identity of the deceased male, 35, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective R. Lujan reported:
HPD officers responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and found the victim had been transported to the hospital via a private vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Further investigation revealed the male was sitting outside his apartment with friends when he was approached by two Hispanic male suspects. One of the suspects shot the victim multiple times and both suspects then fled on foot in an unknown direction.
