Update: Persons of Interest Sought in Fatal Shooting at 6607 West Fuqua Street
Houston police are asking for the public’s help in identifying three persons of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 6607 West Fuqua Street about 9:30 p.m. on May 18.
The individuals are described only as three unknown individuals approximately 17 to 20 years old. Photos of the persons of interest are attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Michael Simmons, 42.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Elsbury and Detectives D. Arnold, J. Diaz and A. Hernandez reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting in a business parking lot at the above address and learned the victim had been shot at least one time. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Further investigation determined the victim may have been involved in a verbal dispute with a group of individuals immediately before the shooting. Immediately after the shooting the suspects were seen running on foot westbound from the location.
Further investigation identified three persons of interest, who are pictured below.
