Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 5715 West 34th Street

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5175 West 34th Street about 12:05 a.m. on Wednesday (July 16).
The identity of the victim, 65, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Elliott and D. Hobson reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced him deceased.
Preliminary investigation revealed the man was approached on the street by two suspects and a possible argument ensued before the shooting. The suspects then ran into an unknown black sedan before leaving the scene and driving eastbound on West 34th Street.
