Investigation into Fatal Crash at 10802 Inwood Drive

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 10802 Inwood Drive about 5:55 p.m. on Friday (July 18).
The identity of the deceased female, 78, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Wu and Officer R. Leibold reported:
A blue Infinity QX50 was traveling northbound on Walnut Bend Lane when the driver disregarded a stop sign at the intersection of Inwood Drive, left the roadway and struck a tree at the above address. Paramedics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.
No other persons or vehicles were involved in this crash.
The investigation is continuing.
