3rd UPDATE: Second Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 13360 Northborough Drive
Charges have been filed against a second suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 13360 Northborough Drive around 3:35 p.m. on May 11.
The suspect, Carnell Anderson, 16, is charged with murder. A photo of Anderson, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release. *As a juvenile, his identity and photo were approved for release with a court order from a district judge.*
Another suspect, Cameron Ray, 19, is charged with murder in the 496th State District Court. A booking photo of Ray, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Davion Elzy, 16.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Lamont and Detective A. Herrera reported:
HPD patrol officers were flagged down about a shooting in the parking lot of a convenience store at the above address. Officers located the male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics transported the victim, later identified as Mr. Elzy, to HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest where doctors pronounced him deceased.
Further investigation identified Cameron Ray as a suspect in the death of Elzy. After consulting the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, Ray was charged for his role in this incident. He remains at-large.
Investigators also identified Carnell Anderson as a suspect in this case and he was subsequently charged for his role in this incident. He is also wanted.
A judge in the 313th District Court signed an order permitting HPD to release the name and a photo of the wanted juvenile suspect, Anderson.
