Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 2528 Calumet Street
Houston police are searching for a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 2528 Calumet Street about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday (July 31).
Omar Marzouk, 38, is charged with murder in the 182nd State District Court. A previous photo of Marzouk, who is currently at-large, is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Jimmy Arevalo, 32.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Duncan and Detective J. Jorsch reported:
The male victim was power washing outside a business at the above address when the suspect confronted the victim and an altercation occurred. Witnesses stated the altercation escalated and the victim was shot. The suspect then fled in a gray Toyota Tundra.
Further investigation identified the suspect as Marzouk and after consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office he was charged for his role in the shooting.
