Surveillance Video Released in Fatal Stabbing at 123 North Drennan Street
Houston police have released the surveillance video of a wanted suspect in the fatal stabbing of a man found at 123 North Drennan Street about 5:55 a.m. on Thursday (Aug. 7).
Video of the suspect, described as a white male, is attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim, 77, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective R. Lujan reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing call at the above address and learned that a male had suffered a stab wound. He was transported to an area hospital where doctors pronounced him deceased.
Officers were informed that the victim was riding his bike to work on a nearby bike trail when the suspect came out from behind a fence and stabbed the victim. The victim was able to reach his workplace and co-workers called 911.
Detectives, working with Metro Police Department, identified a suspect that was seen boarding a metro transit shortly after the incident.
