Investigation into Fatal Stabbing at 4500 Pickfair Street

Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man that occurred in the 4500 block of Pickfair Street about 9 a.m. Tuesday (August 12).
The identity of the deceased male, 36, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Dudley and K. Heaverlo reported:
Officers responded to a report of a male lying in the roadway at the above address. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene. He had suffered multiple stab wounds.
Residents in the area did not report hearing or seeing any disturbance prior to the finding the injured male. During the course of the investigation a person of interest came forward, was questioned and released. The investigation is continuing.
