Investigation into Fatal Crash at 400 Greens Road

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 400 Greens Road about 8:45 p.m. on Sunday (August 17).
The identity of the deceased male, 19, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer D. Thompson reported:
A red Honda CBR1000RR motorcycle was traveling eastbound at the above address. Preliminary investigation indicates the operator hit a pothole, lost control, left the roadway and struck a light pole. The impact caused the operator to be ejected and the motorcycle to catch fire.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the operator to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
No other persons or vehicles were involved in this crash.
The investigation is continuing.
