Investigation into Fatal Crash at 5500 North Braeswood Boulevard 

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 5500 North Braeswood Boulevard about 6:25 a.m. today (August 18).
The identity of the deceased male, 27, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Patterson and Officer R. Saenz reported:
A white Ford F350 was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed at the above address. The driver failed to maintain a single lane veered off the road, struck a light pole and then struck the edge of the bridge rail. The vehicle then flipped across the ravine and came to a stop in shallow water.
Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.
The investigation in continuing.
