Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2000 Quitman Street

Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash in the 2000 block of Quitman Street reported about 2:15 a.m. today (Aug. 22).
The identity of the deceased male, 31, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer T. Smith reported.:
The male was riding a bicycle westbound on Quitman when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. The driver did not stop and render aid. Paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
At this time there is no known vehicle or suspect description.
