Investigation into Fatal Crash at 900 Richmond Avenue

Houston police are investigating the fatal hit-and-run crash in the 900 block of Richmond Avenue about 8 p.m. on Thursday (Aug. 21).
The identity of the deceased female, 50, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer J. Best reported:
The female was walking in an unknown direction in the roadway when she was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound at the above address. The driver did not stop to render aid. Paramedics transported the female to an area hospital where doctors pronounced her deceased.
Witnesses provided a good description of the vehicle. Officers located the vehicle, a blue Mercedes-Benz EQE 350, in a parking lot in the 2900 block of South Shepherd Drive. The driver was not in the vehicle.
