Investigation into Fatal Crash at 1200 Durham Drive

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 1200 Durham Drive about 3:30 a.m. on Saturday (August 23).
The identity of the deceased male, 25, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Johnson and Officer Y. Ramirez reported:
A silver Honda CRV was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed at the above address. The driver failed to maintain a single lane veered off the road, and struck a light pole. The vehicle came to a stop near the intersection of Nett Street.
Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
