Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 3300 Memel Street

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male that occurred in the 3300 block of Memel Street about 1 a.m. today (Sept. 2).
The identity of the deceased male is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Stroble and Detective K. Collier reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address. Upon arrival they found an unresponsive male inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased.
Witnesses stated they heard gunshots in the area immediately prior to finding the victim.  At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s) description.
