Investigation into Fatal Crash at 3100 Bay Street

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred in the 3100 block of Bay Street about 3:20 a.m. today (Sept. 5).
The identity of the deceased female, 76, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer L. Ho reported:
A maroon Ford Explorer was traveling eastbound near the above address. The driver failed to maintain a single lane of traffic and drove across a front yard striking the front of a residence.
Paramedics transported the female driver to an area hospital where doctors pronounced her deceased.
No other injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
