Investigation into Fatal Crash at 4600 Texas Spur 5

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash at 4600 Spur 5 about 4:25 a.m. on Saturday (September 20).
The identity of the deceased female, 37, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officer M. Keita reported:
A red Hyundai Elantra was traveling northbound at the above address when the vehicle entered a construction zone, struck a lifted concrete road and caught fire. Paramedics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.
No other vehicles or persons were involved in this crash. The investigation is ongoing.
