Investigation into Fatal Crash at 1400 South Voss Road

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 1400 South Voss Road at about 6:55 p.m. Wednesday (September 24).
The identity of the deceased female, 76, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Officer K. Stanley reported:
The driver of a black Land Rover SUV was traveling southbound on South Voss Road when the driver attempted to make a left turn into a private drive and struck a red Hyundai Accent traveling northbound on South Voss. The impact caused the Hyundai to leave the roadway and strike a tree.
The passenger in the Hyundai was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Land Rover remained at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released.
The investigation is ongoing.
