Investigation into Fatal Crash at 4700 Texas Spur 5

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 4700 Spur 5 about 11:50 p.m. on Sunday (October 12).
The identity of the deceased male is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer C. Moralez reported:
A green Jeep Cherokee was traveling southbound at the above address at a high rate of speed. The Jeep struck a concrete barrier on the driver’s side and then a curb on the passenger side of the vehicle. It then left the roadway and struck a tree. Paramedics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved.
The investigation is ongoing.
