Investigation into Fatal Crash at 10500 Hempstead Highway

Houston police have learned a man critically injured in a crash at 10500 Hempstead Highway about 10:10 p.m. on October 3 has died.
The identity of the male, believed to be in his 40s, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer M. Lozano reported:
A male pedestrian was struck in the roadway by a gray Toyota Corolla. The vehicle did not stay at the scene. The male was transported to an area hospital. He was pronounced deceased on Wednesday (October 22).
Investigators have identified a possible driver of the Toyota. The investigation is ongoing.
