Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 7400 Lavender Street 

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of two others in the 7400 block of Lavender Street about 1:40 a.m. on Sunday (Nov. 2).
The identity of the deceased male, 17, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants K. Persad and C. LaFour and Detectives L. Yasin and M. Cater reported:
Officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found a gray SUV in a ditch. Officers located a male inside the vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
Officers learned two other males were transported to an area hospital with gunshot wounds and they are expected to survive their injuries.
The suspect(s) vehicle is believed to be a dark colored sedan.
