Investigation into Fatal Crash at 7300 West Hardy Road

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred in the 7300 block of West Hardy Road about 2:25 p.m. on Wednesday (November 26).
The deceased male is identified as Carlo Martinez Tamayo, 56.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Le and Officer X. Zhang reported:
The driver of a silver Toyota Tundra was traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on West Hardy Road when the vehicle lost control at a curve in the road. The vehicle left the roadway and struck two concrete pillars that support the Hardy Toll Road and then rolled over several times before coming to a stop in the center median.
The driver, Martinez Tamayo, was pronounced dead at the scene by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics. No other vehicles or persons were involved in this crash.
The investigation is on-going.
