Investigation into Fatal Crash at 11100 Northwest Freeway

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 11100 Northwest Freeway (US Highway 290) about 3:05 a.m. today (Dec. 8).
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer K. Hines reported:
The operator, 33, of a gray Honda CB650 motorcycle was traveling northwest on the mainlanes of the Northwest Freeway when he struck a pedestrian on the freeway. The pedestrian was wearing dark clothing in a dimly lit area of the freeway. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene.
The operator of the motorcycle was thrown from his bike and transported to an area hospital with multiple injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
