Investigation into Fatal Crash at 3200 McGowen Street

The fatal crash that occurred at 3200 McGowen Street about 11:35 p.m. on Tuesday (December 9) will be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury.
The identity of the deceased female is pending identification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer D. Hoang reported:
A female was walking westbound on the sidewalk of McGowen Street when she tried to get around a vehicle that was parked at a residence. The female was between two parked vehicles when a white Mercedes G 550 driving eastbound struck one of the parked vehicles and the female. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the female to an area hospital where doctors pronounced her deceased.
The male driver of the Mercedes, 45, was determined not to be impaired. He was transported to an area hospital.
After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, it was determined the crash would be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury once the investigation is completed.
