Investigation into Fatal Crash at 12699 Fondren Road

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 12699 Fondren Road about 12:58 a.m. on Sunday (Dec. 14).
The identity of the deceased male, 23, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Barrow and Officer J. Rincon reported:
The victim was operating a white Suzuki motorcycle southbound near the above address when for an unknown reason he lost control of the motorcycle. The male was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in the nearby ditch. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
Further investigation determined no other persons or vehicles were involved. Officers learned the victim had just purchased the motorcycle and was learning to ride.
The investigation is continuing.
