Investigation into Fatal Crash at 7600 South Loop East 

Houston police have learned a man injured in a hit and run crash at 7600 South Loop East (South Interstate Highway 610) about 6:40 p.m. on December 24 has died.
The identity of the deceased male, 43, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. James and Officer T. Pham reported:
A silver vehicle of unknown or model was traveling westbound at the above address when the vehicle struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian was in a moving lane of traffic when the accident occurred. The driver of the vehicle did not stop to provide aid.
Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital where, on December 27, he died from his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
