Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2900 Broadway Street 

Houston police are investigating a fatal hit and run crash that occurred in the 2900 block of Broadway Street about 6:05 p.m. on Friday (Jan. 2).
The victim is identified as Lazaro Noa Garcia, 73.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Le and Officer R. Leibold reported:
A male was walking eastbound in a crosswalk at the above address when an unknown vehicle driving southbound struck him. The driver did not stop to render aid. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
The vehicle is described only as a dark-colored SUV, possibly a Toyota 4Runner.
