Investigation into Fatal Crash at 13700 Clay Road

Houston police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred in the 13700 block of Clay Road about 11:35 p.m. on Monday (January 5).
The identity of the deceased male, 29, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer T. Hudson reported:
A pedestrian was attempting to cross the roadway in a dark area in Addicks Reservoir at the above address when he was struck by a black Honda Accord traveling westbound. The male driver, 36, attempted to provide first aid to the pedestrian. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
The driver was determined to not be impaired and was questioned and released. The investigation is ongoing.
