Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6200 West Tidwell Road
Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a female that occurred at 6200 West Tidwell Road about 7:45 p.m. on Friday (January 16).
The identity of the deceased female is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives H. Montealegre and G. Rangel reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and found a female suffering a gunshot wound inside the apartment entrance. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics transported her to an area hospital here she was pronounced her deceased.
According to witnesses, there was an altercation between the apartment resident and multiple persons outside the apartment. The persons outside approached the apartment door and began arguing with the resident. At one point a gun was produced and the female was struck. After the first shot was fired, multiple persons began firing at the apartment and struck multiple apartment units, occupied with residents. All suspects fled the scene. One male was captured on video. He is described as a white male between 30 to 40 years old and has multiple tattoos on his face and body. A photo is below.
