Investigation into Fatal Crash at 6100 West Airport Boulevard

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 6100 West Airport Boulevard about 9:40 p.m. on Sunday (February 8).
The identity of the deceased female, 25, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer N. Solomon reported:
The driver of a silver Mercedes GLS was driving westbound on West Airport when he attempted to change lanes and struck the victim, operating a bicycle. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the female bicyclist deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Mercedes remains at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released.
The investigation is ongoing.
