Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1617 Fannin Street 

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman and the apparent suicide of a man found at 1617 Fannin Street about 9:40 p.m. on Thursday (February 12).
The identities of the female victim, 24, and the male suspect are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives G. Zavala and M. Perez reported:
HPD patrols officers responded to a welfare check at an apartment complex at the above address. Officers located an unresponsive female and male inside an apartment. They had suffered gunshot wounds and were pronounced deceased by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.
Evidence on scene indicated the incident was a murder-suicide in which the male shot the female and then shot himself.
