Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 5103 Bell Street
Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 5103 Bell Street about 8 p.m. on Sunday (Feb. 15).
The identity of the deceased male, 20, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Davidson and J. Robles reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found the victim sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the male to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Further investigation identified witnesses who stated the male was shot by an unknown suspect while sitting in his vehicle outside a residence in the 5100 block of Clay Street. After being shot, the victim fled in his vehicle and stopped when he crashed at the above address. Witnesses stated that after hearing the gunshots they saw two males flee northbound through M.C. Cullinan park on foot.
