Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 781 Country Place Drive

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 781 Country Place Drive about 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday (February 26).
The identity of the deceased male, 26, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Gardner and Detective M. Providence reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting and found the victim lying in the breezeway of an apartment complex at the above address. He had suffered more than one gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.
Residents in the area stated they saw two or three black males in the area immediately prior to the shooting.
