UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 9611 Grant Road

Charges have been filed against a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a man at 9611 Grant Road about 12:45 p.m. on February 24.
The suspect, Johna Robinson, 49, is charged with murder in the 176th Criminal District Court. Robinson’s booking photo is attached to this news release.
The identity of the male victim, 52, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Montalvo and Detective D. Higgs reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a parking lot of an apartment complex at the above address and found a male with multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Detectives learned the male was standing in the parking lot when he was shot by an unknown suspect(s).
Further investigation identified Johna Robinson as the suspect in this incident. He was later arrested, and charged.
