Investigation into Fatal Crash at 9700 Hollister Street

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash in the 9700 block of Hollister Street about 5:20 a.m. today (March 5).
The identity of the deceased male, 40, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer L. Ho reported:
Officers were told a male was walking in the middle of the street at the above address when he was struck by a red Infiniti Q50 traveling northbound. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
The male driver of the Infiniti, 26, remained at the scene, did not show signs of impairment, and was questioned and released.
The investigation is ongoing
