Investigation into Fatal Crash at 4700 South Loop East 

Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 4700 South Loop East (South Interstate Highway 610) about 11:45 p.m. Saturday (March 7).
The identity of the deceased male, 20, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant N. Medrano and Officer R. McLemore reported:
A gray Ford Mustang was traveling eastbound at the above address when the driver lost control and struck a retaining wall. The vehicle then crossed all lanes of traffic and left the freeway striking a tree before coming to a rest in a grassy median between the feeder and the main lanes.
Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
The investigation is ongoing.
