Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6031 Fondren Road 

The fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 6031 Fondren Road about 9:15 a.m. today (March 11) will be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury.
The identity of the victim, 18, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Lopez and Detective N. Sharp reported:
Officers responded to a shooting at a residence at the above address and located a male suffering from a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the male to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Further investigation determined the male was shot while he and his girlfriend were handling a firearm. After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office it was determined the shooting would be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury.
