Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 5900 Selinsky Road

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile male that occurred at 5900 Selinsky Road about 9:25 p.m. on Saturday (May 6).
The victim is identified as Christopher Lenette, 16.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives S. Chettry and H. Martinez reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting in a parking lot of an apartment complex at the above address and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.  He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Further investigation revealed the victim and his family had just arrived at their apartment complex when an unknown suspect(s) shot at their vehicle.  The other family members were not injured in the shooting.
At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
