UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 1201 Redford Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a male at 1201 Redford Street about 7:30 p.m. on March 3.
The suspect, Luis Vazquez, 18, is charged with murder in the 183rd Criminal District Court. Vazquez’s booking is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Talha Abdul, 41.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives D. Davis and C. Davidson reported:
Officers responded to a stabbing call at an apartment complex at the above address and located a male on a front porch suffering from multiple stab wounds. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
According to security guards at the location the male was involved in a physical altercation with another male when the stabbing occurred.
Investigators identified Vazquez as the suspect in this case. He was subsequently charged on Thursday (March 12).
