Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1114 Gulf Bank Road

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile female at 1114 Gulf Bank Road about 3 a.m. today (February 11).
The identity of the victim, 16, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Detective A. Hernandez reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found an unresponsive female with a gunshot wound in the passenger seat of a vehicle parked in the middle of the street.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.  Three other males in the vehicle, 20, 18 and 17, were not injured.
Evidence was found nearby, however, the circumstances regarding the shooting have not been determined at this time.
The investigation is continuing.
