Investigation into Fatal Crash at 12198 Main Street

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 12198 Main Street about 11 p.m. last Friday (February 21).
The identity of the deceased male, 50, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Sudduth and Officer C. Moralez reported:
The male was driving a black Lexus GS350 westbound near the above address when, for unknown reason, he left the roadway. The Lexus then went into a grassy area, struck a sign, a light pole and came to a stop against a large exit/street sign marker.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the driver deceased.
The investigation is continuing.
