Investigation into Fatal Crash at 3100 Kingwood Drive

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 3100 Kingwood Drive about 5:35 a.m. on Saturday (March 1).
The deceased female is identified as Alexandria Calderon, 25.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officer M. Mathews reported:
Ms. Calderon was driving a black Hyundai Tucson at a high rate of speed eastbound near the above address when she lost control of the vehicle, drove onto a sidewalk and then struck a light pole.  The Hyundai continued traveling eastbound, struck a tree, went airborne and landed in a pond.  Calderon was ejected and pronounced deceased by Houston Fire Department paramedics.
The investigation is continuing.
