Person of Interest Sought in Fatal Shooting at 1855 Wirt Road
Houston police are asking for the public’s help in locating a person of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a man at 1855 Wirt Road about 7:45 a.m. on Sunday (March 16).
The person of interest is identified as Arnol Higinio Cruz, 33. A photo of Cruz, who is not charged at this time, is attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Persad and Detective L. Yasin reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the apartment complex at the above address and found an unresponsive male with an apparent gunshot wound inside an apartment. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased.
Further investigation developed a person of interest, identified as Cruz. Detectives believe he may have information related to this incident.
